ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY
 

The Orthopedics and Traumatology programs are fundamentally developed at the International Orthopedic Scientific Complex in Cuba.

As part of its specialization in the treatment of complex traumatology complaints or serious aftermath of traumas by luxation or breaks, this center has successfully developed a program dedicated to these pathologies of big incidence.

Among the most important pathologies treated are the articulated prosthetic replacements of hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist and metacarpus – phalanges joints.

Another out-standing treatment for the vertebral column is the treatment of the deformities, especially the scoliosis, kyphosis and kyphoscoliosis, and furthermore the injury treatments for slipped disc or slipped epiphysis of the vertebra.

In a general way the center treats any type of orthopedic or traumatic complaints, to tenor of a rigorous protocol of diagnosis and care.
